Detachment 145 Operations Officer

Captain Felecia R. Staggers serves as the Operations Officer for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Detachment 145, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL.  In this capacity, she leads, trains, counsels, and evaluates more than 120 highly qualified men and women as prospective Air Force and Space Force officers. Captain Staggers began her military career May 2006 as an enlisted member. Following basic military training, she attended the Information Management Apprentice Course, Keesler Air Force Base. After serving 11 years, she was accepted into Officer Training School and earned her commission in 2017. As an officer, she performed duties as a Program Manager resolving critical information technology issues for the Air Force civil engineer system that maintains $450B in capital assets. She also served as the Protection Portfolio Chief and Program Manager for the Air Force Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Collective Protection Systems where she oversaw joint operations for the chemical biological threat, safeguarding the $978 million multi-system Collective Protection portfolio. Throughout her career, she has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, and FREEDOM SENTINEL. Her assignments include Yokota AB, Japan, Osan AB Korea, Aviano AB, Italy, Robins AFB, GA, Gunter-Annex, AL, and Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
