
Detachment 145 Recruiting Officer
Captain Jason Davis serves as the Recruiting Officer for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Detachment 145, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. He directs officer recruiting efforts across multiple Florida counties and three collegiate institutions. Captain Davis enlisted in the Air Force in 2000 as an Aircraft Armament technician where he performed weapons maintenance and armament loading on F-15E, F-16, and A-10 aircraft. In 2006, Capt Davis retrained into the Aerial Gunner career field where he performed Combat Search and Rescue operations on the HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter completing three combat deployments before being assigned as a formal flying training instructor. While teaching at the schoolhouse, he held positions as a Wing Executive, First Sergeant, Flight Instructor, and Flight Evaluator before merging career fields to become a Special Missions Aviator. He was then chosen to be the Training Program Manager for Special Operations and Personnel Recovery, managing syllabus development and course oversight for HH-60G, UH-1, TH-1, CV-22, MC-130J, and HC-130J platforms. His final enlisted assignment was serving as the Superintendent to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force in the Pentagon, where he was then selected to commission as a Force Support Officer. Upon completion of Officer Training School in 2019, he performed Emergency Management responsibilities at MacDill AFB as one of the key members during the installations COVID-19 response. He has also served as a Section Commander for an Aircraft Maintenance Unit, Flight Commander for Sustainment Services & Military Personnel Flights, and a deployed A1 Director of Manpower, Personnel, and Services. His duty stations include Seymour Johnson AFB, Kunsan AB, Pope AB, Davis-Monthan AFB, Kirtland AFB, Randolph AFB, the Pentagon, MacDill AFB, and Ellsworth AFB.
