What is the ROTC Noles Living-Learning Community?

The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Noles Living-Learning Community (ROTC Noles LLC) is designed to provide an environment that supports and develops college students seeking a commission as an officer in the United States Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, or Space Force. In this interdisciplinary living-learning community, college students from all majors will engage in academic and practical development activities that enhance their education and training within their selected ROTC program. 

The ROTC Noles LLC will contribute to your success at Florida State University by:

  • Facilitating your transition into and beyond your first-year collegiate experience
  • Building a joint community with shared values and academic requirements
  • Developing leadership, communication, and tactical skills

Eligible Residents

The ROTC Noles LLC is open to students intending to enroll in an ROTC program to pursue a commission in the U.S. military. Priority is given to first-year students.

How to Apply

Please pay careful attention to the instructions and deadlines at the link below. Applicants must have an active Fall-Spring housing contract before submitting an LLC application, but you may want to complete the first two steps of the LLC application offline in advance as a timesaver.

Location

The ROTC Noles LLC is located in Wildwood Hall in a suite-style residence conveniently located near dining, fitness, academic support, and student engagement opportunities.

ROTC Noles LLC Components

The ROTC Noles LLC will provide student development focused academics and activities designed to support success as a Florida State University student and ROTC cadet/midshipman. Each resident is expected to engage in activities and be a responsible member of the community as outlined in the LLC Agreement.

  • Required academic coursework includes a 0-credit hour colloquium course during the fall and spring semesters. This course will only include ROTC Noles LLC residents.
  • Residents are required to maintain active cadet/midshipman status with their respective ROTC program.

Additional engagement and training opportunities may include, but are not limited to, military installation visits and tactical exercises.
