Colonel Kevin M. "Go-" Ogle

Colonel Kevin Ogle is the Commander of Aerospace Studies for AFROTC Detachment 145 at Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. In his roles, he is responsible for overseeing course curriculum and the recruitment and development of young men and women through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps to serve as Second Lieutenants in the United States Air  and Space Force. Prior to this assignment, Col Ogle was the 609th Air Operations Center Commander, Al Udeid AB, Qatar.

Colonel Ogle is a graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program and was commissioned in 1999. He has served in a variety of positions as an Air Battle Manager with 682 combat hours, at the squadron, group, wing, and MAJCOM levels in various engagements. He is a graduate of the Air War College at Maxwell AFB, AL.

Detachment 145 Operations Officer

Captain Johnathon Edgerton is the Operations Officer for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Detachment 145, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL.  In this capacity, he leads, trains, counsels, and evaluates more than 120 highly qualified men and women as prospective Air Force and Space Force officers.  Capt Edgerton enlisted in the Air Force in 2009 as a Precision Measurement Laboratory Technician, and quickly progressed to lead technician/trainer, as well as holding position of Maintenance Squadron NCOIC of Command Support Staff. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas in 2011 and commissioned through Air Force Officer Training School in 2015.  As a 13N Nuclear and Missile Operations Officer, Capt Edgerton held positions and Missile Combat Crew Commander for the Minuteman III ICBM weapon system, Crew Instructor, and Operations Planner. His last duty assignment prior to being assigned to Det 145 was serving as the flight commander for the Emergency War Orders/Planning flight, which included overseeing and validating targeting for a third of the nation's ground-based ICBMs as well as ensuring Operation Plan and Treaty compliance. His duty stations include Eglin AFB, FL, Vandenberg SFB, CA, Minot AFB, ND, and F.E. Warren AFB, WY.

Captain James McMaster

Detachment 145 Education Officer

Captain James McMaster serves as the Education Officer for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Detachment 145, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. In this capacity, he manages cadre instructor training, all course syllabi and gradebooks, and is the Test Control Officer and Commanders Self Assessment Program Manager.  Capt. McMaster enlisted in the Air Force in 2001 as an Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chief, performing rigging on flight controls, landing gear, and cargo door loading systems for the C-5, C-17, and MC-130 aircraft. He held positions such as team lead, NCOIC, Section Chief, and Flight Chief prior to commissioning. He received his undergraduate degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in 2011 and commissioned through Air Force Officer Training School in 2015. As a 13N, Nuclear and Missile Operations Officer for the Minuteman III Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system, Capt. McMaster performed as Missile Combat Crew Commander, Assistant Flight Commander, Instructor, and Emergency War Order Targeting Planner. His last duty position prior to being assigned to Det 145 was serving as Flight Commander for the 490th Missile Squadron, Malmstrom AFB, MT. The duties included running day to day operations and training for 70 Crew Members, Facility Managers, and Chefs. His duty stations include Travis AFB, CA, NAS Rota, Spain, RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom, Vandenberg AFB, CA, and Malmstrom AFB, MT.

Detachment 145 Recruiting Officer

Captain Felecia R. Staggers serves as the Recruiting Officer for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Detachment 145, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. She directs officer recruiting efforts across multiple Florida counties and three collegiate institutions. Captain Staggers began her military career May 2006 as an enlisted member. Following basic military training, she attended the Information Management Apprentice Course, Keesler Air Force Base. After serving 11 years, she was accepted into Officer Training School and earned her commission in 2017. As an officer, she performed duties as a Program Manager resolving critical information technology issues for the Air Force civil engineer system that maintains $450B in capital assets. She also served as the Protection Portfolio Chief and Program Manager for the Air Force Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Collective Protection Systems where she oversaw joint operations for the chemical biological threat, safeguarding the $978 million multi-system Collective Protection portfolio. Throughout her career, she has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, and FREEDOM SENTINEL. Her assignments include Yokota AB, Japan, Osan AB Korea, Aviano AB, Italy, Robins AFB, GA, Gunter-Annex, AL, and Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Master Sergeant Philip Gordon

Master Sergeant Philip Gordon is the enlisted instructor of ROTC Detachment 145.  In addition to providing instruction to our future Air Force and Space Force leaders, MSgt Gordon provides administration support to the Detachment.  He enlisted in October 2010, and has served as an In-Flight Refueling Craftsman in the 32d Air Refueling Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey for 12 years.  While there, Sergeant Gordon worked his way through positions such as Instructor, Formal Training Unit Instructor, and Evaluator on the KC-10 refueling aircraft.  He also filled many roles within his squadron including In-Flight Refueling Scheduling, Training Shop Instructor, Commander’s Executive NCOIC, and Flight Chief. He completed six deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq and Syria.  He also deployed at the Combined Air Operations Center as a planner for the United States Central Command Area of Responsibility. 

Technical Sergeant Miguel Batista

Technical Seargeant Miguel Batista is Detachment 145’s Administrative NCOIC. He is responsible for ensuring training guidelines and standards are followed, manages logistics and training for cadets within the program, as well as the critical day to day administrative operations that sustain the detachment. TSgt Batista enlisted in Aug 2009, he served as Cyber Operations Systems Airmen at Charleston AFB for 6 years and then transitioned to the Administration in 2015. He served as an Admin at Det 805 Texas A&M from 2015-2019. In 2019 TSgt Batista then served at 20th Maintenance Group Commander Admin in support of 1700 personnel across three squadrons at Shaw AFB, he then moved to the 79th Squadron Fighter Generation Squadron Administrative NCOIC supporting the F-16 Sortie Generation mission overseas from 2020-2023. TSgt Batista has completed 3 deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Spartan Shield, Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq, and Syria.
